Vanity Fair Shoot - Immigration - Fashion can be Political - Student Project

This is an exceptionally interesting fashion narrative idea created for the highly commercial purpose of selling the luxury fashion brands collections via a fashion shoot for Vanity Fair magazine.
I encourage my students to think outside the box.
This is a innovative and bravely ironic concept created by one of my French Students called Lia Thabaret, her idea of using a reportage photographer to shoot models cast for their intrinsic idiosycratic beauty and ethnic diversity, aiming to high light the tragic state of migration at all costs in a confused and increasingly protectionist world makes the point that fashion can be subtley political and not superficial.
